Established in 1995 on a private initiative, it is located in Vladivostok's historical centre and is invariably a place of attraction of public attention and creative forces of the city. The main direction of Arka Gallery's activity is popularisation of artists' creativity and educational work in the field of contemporary art.

The curatorial approach of the gallery is focused on the development of contemporary Russian art and demonstrates the depth of sophistication of artworks by regional artists. Developing in practice the concept of cultural space, the gallery presents exhibitions and projects of famous and young artists of the Far East region, Russian and foreign authors both on its own platform and at international exhibitions and fairs; promotes the participation of authors in partnership projects.
Founded in 2017. The main mission of the gallery is to develop infrastructure for contemporary art in Primorsky Krai and its popularisation among the local population.

Since the gallery's existence, the Art Object team has held many large-scale urban art events, which since 2023 have been transformed into a fair format called MANIFEST. The 2O24 edition of the fair will bring together the best and reveal even more new names to the people of the Far East.

Since 2023, the gallery exclusively represents not only Far Eastern artists, but also authors from Moscow and St. Petersburg.
