On November 23, the annual General Assembly of the Association of Galleries was held on the territory of the Winzavod Center for Contemporary Art.
General Assembly of AGA is the supreme governing body of AGA, where strategic and project plans, global goals and key tasks are discussed. The Meeting is attended by gallery owners who make decisions through discussion and voting on the development of both the Association and the art market.
Among the topics discussed at the meeting, the most crucial were strategies for the joint integration of galleries into the international art market, issues of state support for the art business and unification of pricing principles.
The Association intends to continue to develop its discussion direction, attracting Russian and foreign experts to participate in the discussion of the art business development.
However, the work on strategic tasks remains the highest priority for the Association: standardization of the activities of art market participants, GR on measures to support the industry, customs clearance of art works and its purchases to state museums.
The gallery owners also accepted an invitation from The Federation of European Art Galleries Association (FEAGA), to join the Federation. This step will allow the domestic segment of the art market to establish closer communication with European colleagues.
According to the plan, in 2022 the Association of Galleries will also prepare a number of projects related to exhibition activities, which we will talk about later.
